DosPara a Japanese company announced its new product line, the “Prime Monarch XE” desktop PCs. This PC is run by Intel Xeon E3110 processor, a 2GB of RAM, a sizable 500GB of SATA2 hard drive, and a high end 512MB GeForce 8800GT graphics engine. It is sold for €755 or about $1,142.

Evergreen’s DN-HS-207U is essentially HDD cases that comes in various colorful cases. Great if you get bored with the usual black, white, or grey color. It support up to 1 Tb of storage. Interestingly, it may connect 2 HDD cases and DN-HS-207U and then treat them as one volume.

The manufacturer of the legendary Walkman, Sony is announced two models of the latest Walkman series the Walkman NW-A829 and NW-A828 models. The dimension is 50.2 x 93.6 x 9.3mm at just 59 grams, these players support various audio formats (MP3, WMA, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, PCM, AAC, HE-AAC) and video formats (MPEG-4/H.264, AVC). It has a built-in Bluetooth connectivity, this would enable users to send music files to other bluetooth enabled audio devices, such as speaker and earphone. The battery would last for up to 36 hours (music) and up to 10 hours of video playback.

This looks a lot prettier than iPod. Just give it phone and 3G capability, I’ll throw away my iPod right now!

Portable DVD players is becoming a too common device, Toshiba is just released another three type of DVD players.

• The first model is the 9-inch SD-P91DT model, the dimension is 267 x 167 x 34mm and the weight 1.2kg.
• The second model is calledSD-P71S model, it has a 7-inch LCD and certainly it allows a smaller and lighter form factor (190 x 148 x 39mm).
• The third model is called SD-P71S, essentially it has the same look as SD-P71DT, except it has no built-in 1Seg TV tuner. No portable TV playing for you.

One of the most boring thing for me is to see a bunch of new gadgets with standard features and no innovations, well…… except when it is really cheap.
